MSIL 4 Million Production Target: Strategic Roadmap to 2030-31
Preparing for Future Automobile Market Expansion
MSIL has established an ambitious MSIL 4 Million Production Target to achieve four million units of annual production capacity by 2030-31. This strategic goal positions the company to capitalize on the anticipated growth in India’s automobile sector.

- Establishing the new Khoraj manufacturing plant
Hansalpur Plant Expansion: ₹3,200 Crore Investment
MSIL is currently developing a new production line at its Hansalpur facility, requiring an investment of ₹3,200 crore. This expansion will increase the plant’s manufacturing capacity from 750,000 units to one million units annually, with operations beginning in 2026-27.
Additionally, the company is establishing a battery manufacturing facility at Hansalpur with an investment of ₹7,300 crore, demonstrating its commitment to electric vehicle technology.

Market Leadership Through Strategic Expansion
Strengthening Position as India’s Largest Automaker
The Maruti Suzuki Gujarat Plant Investment represents a crucial component of MSIL’s strategy to maintain its position as India’s leading automobile manufacturer. By strategically expanding production capacity across multiple locations, the company positions itself to meet growing domestic demand while exploring export opportunities.
